WID Liberty Chapter Board Member Speaks on CSR and Gender Equality

WID Liberty Chapter Board Member Sarah Carter recently traveled to Lima, Peru for the Organization of the American States (OAS) Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP)’s Hemispheric Seminar Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Gender Equality.  The conference was held May 23 to 25, 2018, and focused on how to create a competitive and inclusive maritime-port sector.  As a panelist, Sarah discussed economic participation and gender equality strategies for competitive port operations.

Sarah also contributed to the May 2018 edition of the CIP Magazine: “Empowerment of Women: Equality in Ports.”  The issue included opinion articles, analyses, and technical reports related to professional training and capacity-building initiatives for the maritime-port sector in the Western Hemisphere.  To read the magazine in its entirety, click here.
