Registration is now open for Lakehurst Small Business Roundtable (LKE-SBR) 2018 Industry Day.
Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM (EDT)
The Ocean County Library, Mancini Hall 101 Washington Street Toms River, NJ 08753
Theme: “NAWCAD Aircraft Launch and Recovery (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) Upcoming Requirements and Program Descriptions”
The LKE-SBR in partnership with National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Delaware Valley Chapter and NJIT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is pleased to present our 2018 Industry Day, with keynote address provided by CAPT Craig E. Lee, Vice Commander, NAWCAD (confirmed). In addition, you will hear from NAWCAD ALRE and SE leadership about programs and opportunities, at this well attended industry day event.
Please join us as Rear Admiral Tim Heely tells the “Tales of a Small Drone Company in a Big Airplane Manufacturer World”. We will also be joined by special guest David Christian, co-author of Victor Six.
Admiral Heely has been on all sides of unmanned vehicle acquisition – as a procurement official for the U.S. government, to working for a large defense contractor manufacturing UAV sensors and systems, to running a small start-up business with a Tier 3 vehicle that holds the world record for conventionally powered unmanned flight. Heely will talk about the vehicle, the pursuit of funding (private and governmental), and how a tiny company finds its way in a big company world.
There will be an opportunity for networking, and lunch will be provided!
